I just started riding the trolley to and from work. I f-ing love it! I seriously suggest giving it a go. I know it doesn't go a lot of places (La Jolla, Hillcrest, South Park, North Park, Golden Hill), but if it goes anywhere near where you need to be, you should try giving up your car for a week.

Just see how it goes. I think you'll be surprised.


You'll get to bypass freeway traffic and read a book or magazine while you commute.

You'll get to people watch (there's a lot of crazy people who ride the trolley, so it's extra fun).

And--drum roll--you'll get to feel good about yourself. You can call yourself "green" and tell everyone how much better you are than them. Make sure to give people dirty looks as they get into their cars.

Amen, sister! The trolley is sweet if you are near a stop. I rode it to work for about a year and it was very smooth sailing.  I would NEVER consider riding the bus, but the trolley great, go figure.

I wish my work was in a better location for riding the trolley. If it was, I would be all over that thing.  Never-the-less, the trolley is fun for riding to Petco park or random places downtown.

The trolley's cool. When I was forced to use public transportation, I enjoyed this priviledge. The new trolley line out to SDSU and the station there is cool, as is the Grantville station.. that megastructure overarching the 8 freeway.

And someone was reminding me they paid $60 for a month trolley/bus pass, and I though wow.. how much am I paying for gas.

And like Kinsee said.. you can read, poeple watch or snooze. It's an advetnure.

the trolley is great for saving gas. You can ride all day for only $5. Try putting $5 worth of gas in your car and see how far you get. The trolley doesnt go near the beaches or Baloboa Park though, that sucks

the trolley is fun to ride back from any downtown festy. you can fully hook-up with drunk people, but be careful. sometimes they vomit. as far as riding to work, i surely would if i could, but the limited routing disallows this.

i can't get behind that.  this gripe is not limited to the city of san diego, just another in a long line of many.
