La Bodeguita del Medio on California Ave in Palo Alto.  Cuban place with cigar lounge in back.  Great mojito.

The best Mojitos are made with an exceptional rum and then muddled properly.  Boca Loca Brazilian Rum Cachaca is the best rum to use in a Mojito.  It is a premium rum for a decent price.  You can get it at Azucar in San Jose and La Rioja in Mountain View, or buy it by the bottle for $19.95 at Sousa's Liquor Store in Mountain View.

Seconding the NOLA suggestion, they have a good variety of drinks.Classics, to excotic. Same with the mojitos.

I agree with CJ: La Bodeguita del Medio on California Ave in Palo Alto.
I've had Nola's (too much mint leaves in your teeth) and Cascal (get the Sangria there) and La Bodeguita is the BEST.  Hand made right in front of you at the bar....

You must go to Aqui's Mexican grille. Heaven will rain down on you in mojitos and all will be well in the world. I'm not much of a liquor girl, but I can suck those things back like an agua on a hot day. Wowsers.

Nola's has great Mojito's I've tried Mojitos in about 30 resaurants and bars and Nola's so far is the best. They put a generous amount of mint as opposed to other bars (cheap if you ask me, mint is the key ingredient) Highly recomended.

You'll find the best Mojito in downtown Los Gatos. I believe the name of the restaurant is "Willow Pizza" or something to that effect. It's a pretty good size restaurant across from the Park on the more south end of town as your heading in to Santa Cruz area.  THEY ABSOLUTELY MAKE THE BEST MOJITOS.

wow thanks for all the recommendations!  I thought this thread died a looooong time ago :)  I live in SF now so if anyone knows of places there. that makes great mojitos or caipirinhas.....let me know!
